Our Story

Community Alliance Church is a church in transition.

There has been an Alliance church in Ballston Spa for many decades, but in the early 2010's it was in decline. By 2013 we were faced with a choice: close the church, or get help to become healthy again. We chose to get help, and invited a sister church, Pine Knolls Alliance Church in South Glens Falls, to lead and oversee us through a rebuilding process. The first worship service under this new arrangement took place in September of that year.

What's happened since then has been an adventure! God has brought together people who had already been in the church, new workers from Pine Knolls, and many newcomers. Everything in the church has been renewed in one way or another. We're working on developing healthy relationships, growing ministry teams, learning to communicate and plan well, and clarifying our vision. It's exciting to see how God is slowly making us fit again to reach out to our community and expand His Kingdom.

On January 18th, 2017, we held our first congregational meetings as an independent CMA church, having completed the transition process. We look forward to further strengthening our church and the congregation.

We also began an outreach last June into the community:Saratoga West Community Outreach sponsoring a Saturday morning Kids Club (SWKC) and a Tuesday and Thursday after school Homework Club. (SWHC)
